About ECC Corporate Relations Division

Company Description

The Corporate Relations Division (CRD) of ECC was established in 1985 as an independent division within the ECC structure. It was created to meet the needs of the corporate and academic sectors' language education.
Given that our teachers may be asked to teach a wide range of classes, covering everything from company classes, university classes, community college classes and junior and senior high school classes, we look for experienced and well-rounded teachers who are comfortable teaching in a variety of environments.
The majority of our teachers and candidates already have a good deal of teaching experience. However, training will be provided throughout the duration of the contract with the goal of improving teaching skills and ensuring that teachers are comfortable and adept at using a wide range of materials in class. Teachers will be asked to take responsibility for their own professional development and to work as a team with other teachers to pool ideas, information, and to help each other if difficulties should arise. Teachers will also participate positively and actively in orientations, workshops and training sessions, and in all aspects of the observation, feedback and professional development processes.
As CRD’s classes take place at the clients’ premises, teachers need to be able to work independently and communicate effectively with the Education and Personnel sections of CRD. Teaching skills are paramount, but logic, consideration and organization outside of the classroom are also of high importance.
