◆The position

We are looking for individuals who can help non-English speakers communicate more clearly and effectively in English. A balance between good English instruction skills and learner engagement is what we look for in a candidate.


◆The requirements

1. This is a Home-Based position.
2. Business and/or corporate experience
3. Excellent English communication skills (speaking, reading, writing --- grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc.)

4. Knowledge in understanding the Japanese language (Level N5 or more in Japanese-Language Proficiency Test)
5. Some college is required; a degree is preferred.
6. If without a college degree, must have working experience
7. Computer skills are a must.
8. Typing skills are necessary, including the ability to type accurately while on the telephone.
9. Multitasking is a key.
10. Training/teaching experience is a plus.



◆Work and technical requirements

1. PC or Mac (laptop or desktop)
2. Skype noise-canceling headset
3. Land-line/cable telephone – cellular phones are acceptable for the interview, but candidate must be willing to install land-line/cable phone if hired (cellular telephones are NOT compatible with this position)
4. high-speed Internet connection (Download 10Mbps, Upload 2 to 3 Mbps)
5. webcam capability (internal or external)
6. backup internet connection (wi-fi stick)
7. Windows - Windows 10 with 4 GB of RAM
8. Mac - OSX El Capitan
9. Processor - Core i7 or equivalent
10. Browsers - Firefox, Chrome (as a backup)

number of hours per week: 20-40 hours (negotiable)
number of days per week: 5 days a week
working hours: to be discussed during the interview (negotiable)
working days: any day of the week as long as it meets the total number of hours per week

◆The process

After successfully completing the grammar tests, you will be scheduled for a technical check and an interview. Applicants who can speak other languages that are part of our requirements will be asked to undergo a proficiency test. Once done, you will undergo virtual training.
